Foundation Repair Solutions in Austin, TX
There's no one-size-fits-all fix. After inspecting your home, we match the solution, steel push piers for slab foundations or Adjust-A-Piers for pier and beam homes, to your soil, structure, and the actual cause of the movement.
Foundation Repair Solutions We Install
After we inspect, we match the solution to your soil, structure, and the cause of the movement.
Foundation Underpinning
Underpinning stabilizes foundations by transferring the load to deeper, more stable soil layers and bedrock, using QFR's steel push pier or Adjust-A-Pier systems depending on foundation type.

Deep Foundation Systems
A deep foundation system carries a structure's weight past the reactive surface soil to strata that does not move. At QFR that system is our in house manufactured steel push pier, driven hydraulically to load bearing strata.

Push Piers
QFR's in-house manufactured steel push piers are driven hydraulically to load-bearing strata to stabilize and lift settled slab foundations.

Slab Piers
Slab piers support and stabilize sunken concrete slabs, particularly useful in commercial settings with larger slab spans.

Micro Piles
Micro piles is the name we use for our own steel push piers when access is tight: crawl spaces, interior openings, or a narrow side yard. Same in house manufactured pier, same load bearing depth, installed with compact hydraulic equipment.

Your foundation type settles most of it. The inspection settles the rest.
Which System Fits Your Foundation Type
QFR works on two foundation types, and each one has its own system. The foundation you have decides most of the answer before we look at anything else.
- Slab foundations Steel push piers, manufactured in our own shop and driven hydraulically down to load bearing soil, then used to stabilize and lift the slab to the maximum practical level.
- Pier and beam foundations Adjust-A-Piers. The name is the point: if the soil moves the home again years later, these piers can be adjusted rather than replaced.
What the Warranty Depends On
Coverage follows what each pier reaches at installation, measured in psi, and it covers only the areas those piers support. A passed hydrostatic plumbing test is required within 60 days of a slab installation, or the slab warranty is not valid, and adverse drainage conditions are excluded.
- Slab, 8,000 psi and above Lifetime warranty on workmanship and materials, fully transferable to the next owner, covering settling greater than 3/4 inch in the piered areas.
- Slab, 5,000 to 8,000 psi Five year warranty on workmanship and materials.
- Slab, below 5,000 psi No warranty.
- Pier and beam Five year warranty on workmanship and materials on Adjust-A-Pier and steel T bracket installations, covering settling greater than 3/4 inch in the piered areas.
How We Decide Before We Quote
We inspect first. Floors, walls, doors, windows and drainage all get checked, findings are recorded with photos and measurements, and the written report explains what we found in plain language. If repair is needed, the quote is written and fixed price. Inspections are free for homeowners; real estate agents are charged.
Foundation Repair Solutions for Central Texas Clay
Austin's expansive Blackland clay shrinks in dry summers and swells after rain, cycling in volume with every wet and dry season. Homes built on this clay can experience ongoing movement as the soil expands and contracts. Where that movement shows up depends on the home and foundation type.
"It's the diagonal cracks in the brick and the mortar stair steps that really say that there's a serious foundation issue."
